I saw the vet explaining a lot of things to them.
After that, one of the men came out, and he smiled at me, seemingly relieved. So I asked him what was wrong and he told me they had rescued a dog who had been hit by a vehicle and the "entire bone was jutting out". They brought the dog in to be treated and now the surgery has been done and the dog is recovering. I wasn't quite sure what he meant, but I sensed perhaps their vehicle had accidentally hit the dog as he seemed very apologetic.
Well, accidents do happen, but I'm glad they were responsible and caring enough to bring the dog in for treatment and not leave the dog to die or have it put to sleep.
So I asked him what he was going to do with the dog after that, and he quickly asked me if I'd like to adopt it. I said I would take a look, take a photo, and advertise it for them.
Here's the dog. See the bandage and the drip? Would anyone like to adopt this dog? I don't know if it is male or female as I did not want to disturb the dog. I also offered to help them get the dog sterilised after it has fully recovered. And I explained the benefits of sterilisation, especially in the control of overbreeding.
They nodded in total agreement and told me that they have about thirty over dogs over at their factory near Summit, and the rate of breeding is alarming.
So, I offered to help them get all their dogs sterilised under our panel vet, but they must catch the dogs.
The two men agreed, and said they would contact me soon...when they can catch the dogs.
Meanwhile, they said they would bringing this accident victim home. They even said it's best they nurse the dog back to health since nobody would probably want to take care of it. I am glad they are responsible people and they care enough to see that the dog recovers completely.
