The baby kitties

It was almost round-the-clock feeding for the new baby kittens last night.

Here they are, this morning:

Since I am not 100% sure of their gender, I'm giving them gender-free names.  Well, almost gender-free, that is.  The black-and-white tabby is Peanut.  The ginger one is Butter, and the white one is Jelly.

Peanut, in front, venturing out.  Butter and Jelly are at the back.

Luckily Ming-Yi was back last night, to help out while I was out for choir rehearsal.  That's Ming-Yi with Butter.

Ming-Yi with Jelly, wiping her privates to make her urinate after feeding.  The mother-cat normally does this, but since there is no mother, we have to do it for them.

Here's Peanut.  She looks female to me, but I am not sure.

And all through the night, Teddybear kept vigil and acted as my alarm clock.  He woke me up many times to feed the kittens.  Teddybear seems to have this in-built alarm clock in him.  And he seems to know what to do, without me having to tell him!

Xiao Li and Bandit were very hospitable to the new kittens.  No hissing at all.  The rest of the adult cats came in to see and went off.  They must be saying, "Ahh...been there, done that, nothing new."

So, right now, I have 13 cats in the house!  It was quite a marathon at breakfast this morning because the cats have their preferred choice of food.  Raw chicken for Cleo, Wii and Bunny.  Fish for Tiger, Cow and Indy.  Kibbles for Pole.  ID for Teddybear and Bandit (force-feeding).  Kitten kibbles for Xiao Li.  Milk for Peanut, Butter and Jelly.

Aren't we slaves to our pets?!!
