Jack, neutered and treated

Rescuer and feeder, Mas, brought Jack, a male stray cat, for treatment at our panel vet yesterday.  Mas was afraid Jack may have sporotrichosis because he had a few nasty-looking skin lesions.

The vet ran some tests, and to our relief, it turned out to be negative.

But Jack had to undergo surgery to treat the few wounds on his body.  So while that was happening, we all agreed he ought to be neutered as well because this would reduce his tendency to fight.

Jack's neutering was sponsored by us, while Mas bore the cost of his other treatments.

Watcha lookin' at?

Often, unneutered male cats get into fights and injure themselves.  So, it pays to have them neutered - for many good reasons!

Million thanks to KY and AnimalCare for sponsoring Jack (Blackjack)'s neutering.

Even though the kind vet did his best to secure the collar to his neck, including taking the string around both his arms, neck and shoulders, this resourceful guy actually did a Houdini when left alone overnight.

I found the collar off him and laid neatly outside his poo box ... and Jack actually looked at me with all innocence in his amber eyes.

The bad eye wound won in battle is gradully clearing up and I will update his pic to reveal a much handsomer face.

Meanwhile, it is good to see that he has not messed with his sutures because I think I will be putting my life at risk if indeed I have to fasten back his collar.

Love always,
MAS
